- I’m staying with Elder Brown in Westminster,
- The work is moving along GREAT!
- Gene is moving along swimmingly
- Emma is gonna be baptized May 30th.
And now it’s story time.
We saw this guy stuck in this flooded area and decided we would help him out so we pulled over. His battery had gotten wet or something. So he popped it into neutral and we pushed it up and out of the way. While we were pushing another truck pulled up and this guy ran out and helped. Mike (the one with the car stuck) was grateful and said he’d give us a call. Sam (the helper) told us he felt bad when he saw us in our shirts and ties, because he was gonna drive on by. Turns out Sam had his record removed from the church five years ago and old us we could come over anytime for dinner. So we are gonna take him up on that. He seemed like a really good guy.
Never miss an opportunity to serve someone. These are the Lord’s sheep and He cares for them even if they have brought their afflictions upon themselves. In he words of Elder Holland, “but however late you think you are, how ever many chances you think you have missed, how ever many mistakes you feel you have made or talents you think you don’t have, or however far from home and family and God you feel you have traveled, I testify that you have not traveled beyond the reach of divine love. It is not possible for you to sink lower than the infinite light of Christ’s Atonement shines.” This love stretches on and on, Forever and ever. We need to remember that whenever we think ill of other or think to let an opportunity to serve another pass us by. We are ofter the way that the Lord will show this love to others.
