I’m super excited to Email you all today. A lot has happened this week, hopefully I remember it all. It was a really good week. We met a lot of new people and taught some people we’ve been working with for a while now. Elder Hulka and I are really getting along great, I’ll miss him when he’s gone. We really make a great team.
So we started off the week good with seeing Sid, we taught him the Restoration. It was a LONG lesson, because he asked a ton a questions. Which is great! We brought Brother Davis with us, He’s a rock star, a golden member missionary. We invited Sid to be baptized and he said, “yeah if the Book of Mormon is true.” We explained and were pretty bold in telling him he would need to be re-baptized by proper authority. But he kept asking questions about it, I know he understands he needs to be baptized again, but it seems as if he’s in denial about it. We invited him to pray and let God tell him what is right, what he needed to do. It was a great lesson. Oh yeah, plus he read the whole chapter we invited him to read previously… twice. He retained a ton of it. It was great.
Our lesson with Joel fell through… and he’s not responding to our calls or texts… I fear he is ignoring us. I’ll keep you updated.
Instead of meeting with Joel we met with Kael twice this week. He’s so cool. He’s all excited to come to church and mutual. He has a friend at school who is a member. And after we taught him the Restoration, he said “If the Book of Mormon is true it would mean so much to me.” He accepted a baptismal date for the 22nd of November. He is pretty eager to meet with us regularly.
We met a guy named Jesse, he was sick in the hospital 12 times with pneumonia last year. He also is missing a leg. It looks like he stepped on a mine or something. He’s super cool. He accepted a copy of the Book of Mormon and is really excited to read it. He referred us his whole family and so we are gonna meet with them this Wednesday. Super duper stoked.
I don’t have a ton of time left. I love you all, and it’s so wonderful to hear from you all. It’s so wonderful to be serving to Lord and seeing His hand work in the lives of others. “15 And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” Joshua 24:15 There is nothing in this life that can bring more real lasting joy than serving the Lord. “Never Look Back.”
