Well, I think I doubled my tie count this week!

If you sent me a B-day Package I got it this week! Thank you! 🙂 This was a long week. Meaning it was super hot, and nobody (Randoms, Less Actives, Investigator (yes singular), and members) wanted to talk to us this week. So we spent a lot of time walking around attempting to talk to people and getting canceled of all week. It’s cool though, because I know I signed up for this and we are really doing everything that we can! It wasn’t till Sunday (yesterday) that the good things happened.

We prayed and fasted yesterday that things would begin to turn around that we would be lead to those who were ready. So it was wonderful that the first 2 doors we knocked on, were less actives that are ready move forwards. Sister L was born a member of the church but left at a young age, she’s having a lot of trouble in her life right now and need the help of the Lord, She left at an early age because other members would mistreat her and she felt hated by other members of the church…. I don’t like this kind of behavior, so I quote President Uchtdorf on the subject, “When it comes to hating, gossiping, ignoring, ridiculing, holding grudges, or wanting to cause harm, please apply the following: Stop it! It’s that simple. We simply have to stop judging others and replace judgmental thoughts and feelings with a heart full of love for God and His children.” Luckily she is willing to give the ward a change and she is going to meet with the Bishop of our ward and hopefully start coming to church.

Sister D, was the other person we visited. She came out and we talked on her porch. She told us she was also going through a rough time and had been really thinking of coming back to church, I think she said she had been Less active about 10 years now and literally the only thing that was holding her back was she was nervous to come and meet a new ward… She said she would come to church this week. We talked about how the Atonement and how turning to the Lord in these hard times is the best way to be able to get through them. It was awesome, I feel she was really touched and sincere about wanting to change. I hope she comes to church.

This is why I’m here, invite all to come unto Christ and be Perfected in him. The worth of EVERY soul is GREAT in the eyes of God. Running out of time sorry! Read “Becoming a Missionary” by David A Bednar if your a member missionary and “Becoming a Preach My Gospel Missionary” by David A Bednar if you are Full-Time missionary or plan to become one. They are great talks.

Love you guys!
