Hey guys! (Or Elders and Sisters if you’re a missionary)

This week was really good, the weather was pretty weird though. On Snow, Thunderstorms, Sunshine, and Sunshine Showers it was weird. One time it started raining as we walked away from a door and I looked up and there were no clouds… Strange…

We had our last Zone Conference with President Toombs this week. I’m gonna really miss the guy. He’s so awesome. But I really got a lot from that conference. They focused mostly on conversion. It was really good. Something I really Liked that President Toombs said was, “You gain your testimonies in the Sacred Grove and you become converted in The Garden of Gethsemane.” Yeah, everything is peachy and awesome when we learn of the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon or finally receive a witness through the power of the Holy Ghost of a certain Principle. But we are not converted until that is put to the test. Until we stay true through the trials and tribulations of this life by continued faithfulness in our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Conversion is Moroni chapter 1. When even in the face of death, When all your friends have been put to death because they refuse to deny what they know, you proclaim to the world, “I will not deny the Christ!” It doesn’t have to be that extreme. But when you are put in a situation where you have to choose to stay true to the Faith or give in to what the world says is right, one that is converted will not give in because “When you struggle, when you are rejected, when you are spit upon and cast out and made a hiss and a byword, you are standing with the best life this world has ever known, the only pure and perfect life ever lived. You have reason to stand tall and be grateful that the Living Son of the Living God knows all about your sorrows and afflictions. The only way to salvation is through Gethsemane and on to Calvary. The only way to eternity is through Him—the Way, the Truth, and the Life.” (Jeffery R. Holland)

This week was pretty good, Zsolt is finally starting to make some progress, He is actually praying and feeling the spirit, He’s come to church the past 2 weeks. It’s so awesome to see him finally start to exercise faith and receive the blessings from it. We see him tonight, it’s gonna be rad, I’m sure.

We got a new investigator this week, Mike. He’s a struggling alcoholic and is determined to win. He told us he found God recently and it is so good to be at peace. We told him that there is more peace to be had and he wants to come to church.

We also have a new investigator I didn’t tell you about last week, Justin. He’s on date for August 9th, but he is progressing really well and he’ll definitely be ready before then. He’s pretty angry at the world but the Lord is really starting to open his eyes and he is starting to see some of the good there is.

We didn’t see Michael this week, but we have him next week. We brought the Capitol Hill Sisters with us last time because Sister Liou is from Taiwan and speaks Chinese.

I hope you’re all having a great week! Jesus Christ lives, He is the only true way to any real and lasting happiness.

Love you,
