This week was good! The weather changed over night. It was 65 every day from when I got here and over night it dropped to 20 degrees. It’s snowing today. It’s been a good week though. Denver is awesome 🙂 We also went to the Temple on Wednesday. It was a great time. The Denver Temple is BEAUTIFUL!
I’ve become a master of wrapping spam musubi for lunch almost every day! I cook a lot. Especially since we didn’t have many dinner appointments this week.
We did a lot of knocking doors and street contacting this week without much visual success. We are planting seed though. I blew it though… Heavenly Father brought one of his children right into my hands. She asked for a Bible and so I gave her one and she said thank you I said you’re welcome and walked off without even mentioning the Book of Mormon…. *facepalm* It didn’t occur to me what I had done ’til I walked about 35 yards and she was gone…. 😥 I try not to let it get me too down though… We knocked on this guys door and he told us he saw us in the musical. He asked us what we wanted and I told him, ” well, we knew you saw the play, so do you wanna read the book now?” and he said no. But he told us he respected what we were doing and what not but he’s a dedicated Lutheran. The whole shizzam.
V is doing awesome! She is totally ready to be baptized and receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. She’s moving along great. She’s well fellowshipped and all she needs, is a baptismal interview and one more lesson 🙂 She’s bring a friend to her baptism that is interested in the church! 🙂 I’m so excited. Hopefully we get to teach him! December 7th cant come soon enough! I know she is taking the first big step in coming closer to Christ and Heathenly Father is SO proud of her.
Brother C came to church yesterday which is unusual. He is a good man. He’s a really cool guy. I hope he and his wife invite us over more. He needs his Father in Heaven in his life.
We went to lunch with Brother C2 this week. He’s a less active. He is slowly coming back though. He has issues with the work of wisdom and other doctrine. But he’s been inactive since he was 14 and he’s about 60 now. He spent 30 years in the Navy, He served Vietnam. He’s been a Widower for about 3 years now. He’s been reading the Book of Mormon and believes in most of the Doctrine. He has a testimony of his savior too. He’s a good old man. He gave us a ride to the rest of our appointments that day 🙂 We also gave him a book of Mormon to give to one of his friends. I’m really excited for him.
We also got a new investigator this week. Her name is L. She is friends with one of our less actives. We helped her move. And then we gave her a brief explanation of the Book of Mormon and gave her a copy. She says she wants to come to church and would read the Book of Mormon. Michael also bore his testimony of the book, it was such a powerful experience. We plan on visiting her again this week.
It’s been hard lately but heavenly Father calls fishers just puling them our of the water in great quantities, (Britt, Brady) Just messin’ 😉 and Hunters (Kyle, Myself) to search behind every rock through every mountain in search of his children. If this was easy, there would be no need for missionaries. Even if we can’t see the effects of our presence we are planting seed of faith in this people, God’s children. I know this work is worth it. This is God’s work. This is His mission, to bring to pass the immortality and Eternal Life of man. I wouldn’t trade this for anything.
I love you all, God’s speed be with you all.
